The Multi Clip Selection automation allows you to add the next or previous clip to your current selection. It also gives you the option to remove the next or previous clip from your selection. This automation moves the player to the start of the next or previous clip so that you can view the newly added clip.
The Multi Clip Selection automation takes four arguments:
- Track Nr: This argument specifies the track on which the selection should take place. You need to provide an integer value and ensure that the track exists on your timeline.
- Direction: This argument specifies the direction in which the selection or removal should take place. You can choose between forwards or backward. If you choose forwards, the automation will add or remove clips to the right of the originally selected clip. If you choose backward, the automation will add or remove clips to the left of the originally selected clip.
- Selection: This argument specifies whether you want to select or deselect a clip. If you choose Select, the automation will add the next clip to your selection. If you choose Deselect, the automation will deselect the last selected clip.
- Media type: This argument specifies the type of media that you want to select or deselect. You can choose between Audio, Video, Both, or Selected Media. If you choose Audio, the automation will select or deselect only audio clips. If you choose Video, the automation will select or deselect only video clips. If you choose Both, the automation will select or deselect both audio and video clips. If you choose Selected Media, the automation will select or deselect only the media that is currently selected.
